Palheto is the traditional Portuguese name for a field blend of both red and white grapes, fermented together to make a light, dry red wine.  This wine is mostly pinot noir with around 10% chardonnay whole bunches, stalks and all.  'Foot stomping' has extracted a substantial tannin profile whilst retaining great freshness and aromatic zest.
