White Gates Pinot Noir 2019
Healthy soils & sustainable practices allow each site's natural character to tell it's own story.
From our home block vineyard planted 18 years ago just behind our cellar door, run biodynamically since 2007 and certified in 2019.
"It’s both sturdy and bold. It features darker berried fruit flavours than we normally see from Mornington and while there was no new oak involved there’s a cedary character inlaid. There are floral notes too, along with sweet herbs, though that impression of sturdiness remains. It’s a pinot that wants to be taken seriously. It’s just a bit too young right now but it’s getting there."
